12 Volt Modified Sine Wave inverters or Square Wave inverters produce electricity that isn't as smooth as mains electricity. The wave as seen through an oscilloscope is more sqaure and cut at right angles. This is fine for almost all electrical appliances found in the home including laptops. This makes modified sine wave inverters ideal for caravanning etc.

24 Volt Modified Sine Wave inverters or Square Wave inverters perform in the same manner as 12 Volt modified sine-wave inverters (see above). Again these type of inverters can be used on nearly all household equipment and are ideal for use when camping.
