How to fit a car batteryYou spoke - and we listened! We noticed that many of our customers were asking questions about how to fit a car battery. A while ago we posted a written tutorial on how to fit a car battery without losing your radio code, however as the famous quote goes; “A picture is worth a thousand words” so we set about filming a simple tutorial showing how simple it can be to fit your new battery.

    You asked for comments on your how to change a battery video Just wondered why that when he goes to remove the positive terminal clamp he tightens it up first before undoing it? bit of camera nerves I expect.

  2. Yes - you’re correct. Gareth does indeed tighten the bolt before loosening it!

    The vehicle involved during this video was an import… they have specific torque requirements when loosening the terminal bolts which is why…. oh, ok we can’t blag this one; as you noticed the nerves got to him and he made a mistake that wasn’t noticed during post production.
