About Us
Tayna.co.uk was formed in 2003 by two young entrepreneurs who saw a gap in the market that was not being fulfilled.
Sam Taylor
Sam’s family have over 50 years experience in manufacturing, importing and distributing batteries in the UK. Sam worked for the family business for a few years before becoming involved in Tayna.co.uk.
Jo Phenna
Jo worked in the software industry creating web applications for some of the world’s largest car companies before becoming involved with Tayna.co.uk.
Jo and Sam realised one evening in July 2003 that with Sam’s insight into the battery world - and many contacts - and Jo’s web development abilities that they could bring something to market that nobody else was doing; Online battery distribution.
With a lot of careful planning and hard work designing and building the site it launched on 21 November 2003. The site proved to be a massive success and earlier this year we moved premises to Abergele. The new premises afford us the space to have full fitting facilities and a trade counter so we now fit batteries on site.
We have two staff who are eager to learn the industry and have been outperforming our expectations!
We pride ourselves on being in a position to spend time with you when deciding on the correct battery for your application. Our experts will be able to suggest different batteries depending on your budget and need.
