Basically this is just a battery with a lead terminating in a cigar lighter male lead. One can easily be constructed using a spare battery and a similarly equipped lead. Most cars will require the igntion switch on or set to accessory position. Good idea all the same.

the memory saver’s dont usually work on diesel cars,as they generally have a cig’lighter feed only when the ignitition is keyed to accessory or run position;this is something to do with conserving juice for glow plugs and heavy duty starters on diesel vehicles…i found this out after buying a solar powered trickle charger that plugged into the lighter socket…whaaaah!
