A must have device for anyone having a car with start/stop who does a lot of very short trips. The CTEK reactivated my Merc start/stop with one overnight charging, i.e it fully charged and conditioned the battery, and I will now use it monthly to maintain the battery.

Bought this as my brand new 3 series BMW (G20) needs the AGM battery charged to keep the start stop function working. The ct5 start stop is very easy to set up and just leave it over night to top up the battery. Only niggle is the very short cable which barely reaches the negative and positive terminals on a large AGM battery. A 2.5m extension cable is a must (£13.99 !!).

The three stage charging process has revitalised what I thought was a stop/start battery that was at the end of its life. Only time will tell if the reinvigorated battery will continue to perform well.

Arrived promptly and found easy to use as it goes through an automatic check, charge and maintain charge routine. Had been having problems with a start stop battery becoming discharged. But a charging with CTEK CT5 seems to sort out the problem and it's easy to use.

After purchase, the unit appeared to work correctly for a month or two. It then indicated a 'fault' by the red LED lighting up. It was not possible to quantify exactly what the fault was, so the unit was returned. Eventually the cost was refunded, but seller indicated no fault could be found.
