How to buy a Lawn Mower Battery
All ride on lawn mowers and nearly every high end walk behind petrol powered lawn mower has a battery on board. The main purpose of this battery is to start the engine.
Mower batteries are usually very easy to access, and will either be clearly visible on the deck of walk behind mowers or under the bonnet or seat of a ride on mower. The first step would be to locate the battery and remove it from the mower.
Which Replacement Battery do I Need?
The vast majority of ride ons will take an 895 or an 896. These are essentially the same battery with terminals reversed. Your first port of call should be to check those for size against your current battery. If those sizes do not look correct, browse the category above of your favoured brand and check the sizes and terminal layouts of the featured batteries against your current battery.
