Bosch produce three standard ranges of car batteies; with the specification increasing at each level. Some sizes of battery are available across all three ranges but not all sizes are. There is also range of Bosch AGM Car Batteries.
The base range is the Bosch S3 which is for vehicles with a lower electrical demand. Typically these would be for pre-2000 vehicles with smaller engines. The Bosch S3 range has a three year warranty.
The mid-range is the Bosch S4 and is suitable for vehicles with a medium electrical demand. This range would suit most modern vehicles post year 2000. The Bosch S4 range has a four year warranty.
The top-of-the-range sealed wet battery is the Bosch S5. These batteries can cope with vehicles having a high electrical demand, and for large diesel engines too. The Bosch S5 range has a five year warranty.
