Great battery at a low price Replaced the original Varta EFB+ battery on a 2020 VW transporter startline Should be better suited to alot of short trips as it charges at 20 to 30 amps whenever the engine is decelerating as a form of regenerative braking, I think this allows the extra capacity for start stop function as this didn't work when the original battery was failing Fitted myself as garages wouldn't guarantee an AGM battery as not yet listed as suitable for my van, even though the options in the van battery setup are there Had to update the van battery settings using an OBD11 one click apps for AGM type also reconfirmed the capacity to reset the serial number to make the van relearn a new battery (I think). Van must read the battery as the original diagnostic description was JCB and it changed to Varta. Initially discharged for approx 20 mins while running at steady speeds, must have been learning, then charged normally after that. All seems good now

The Battery itself was fine, although, not sure it was new as damaged on one corner. The big issue was delivery which took nearly week from order. Called to query and customer service not interested. Wont be repeating the experience.

The battery was delivered in tough packaging befitting its weight and safety in transit. It arrived on the day expected. I selected this from the excellent website and was able to confirm it was right by a phone call to a human Tanya adviser. Additionally it was the best price I could find as a replacement for the cars original Varta stop/start battery which was !0 years old and 102,000miles clocked! A bonus came when recieving £5 for the recycled battery at a local scrap yard.
