Can't really comment on a battery after a couple of weeks except to say at this point all is as it should be and as it is a Varta battery I expect it to last at least for its warranty period 5 years as for Tanya batteries faultless best price speedy delivery what more can one ask :))))

Varta batteries in my experience always seem to last longer than most with the usual provisos that the car's charging system is in good order and not the reason you need a new battery. Most car manufacturers that use Varta OEM batteries can't be wrong!! I can't comment on the longevity of this exact one but i'm sure it'll be like most other Varta batteries. I have a 98 1.6l golf mk4. These batteries are overkill for my car, however for the extra £10 or so, it should last and stay in tip top condition for much longer. I'd recommend this battery if your car has room for it over a 027 or 075 and you're sure it'll fit securely in it's place for the added piece of mind especially if your stop/starting a lot. It will depend on the age of the car, older ones are fine, newer ones will need to get the plastic battery cage from a 1.9td or 2.0 petrol. It'll turn over fast( and not use so much power starting), start first turn in the cold even with the battery near the end of it's life. Whatever you do even though some guides recommend 063 batteries, do not do it!! These cars will eat through batteries this small, and destroy them well ahead of schedule of the proper size 027 or 075 battery.
