Very good specification battery at a very competitive price, delivered promptly. Although a stop-start engine the car in question is a mild-hybrid with a second lithium high voltage battery designed for an old-school lead-acid 12v accessories battery. Many online stores select either an AGM or EFB battery against the reg. noting that it is a stop-start petrol engine but ignoring that it is a mild-hybrid with another larger battery on board. Only Tayna and Halfords were correct in specifying a lead-acid non AGM or EFB replacement battery

Product is fine - does the job. Service was incredible. We live in the Highlands - north of Inverness. Often we're told that delivery will be an extra week - and many vendors won't supply at all. Tayna got the battery to us inside 48 hours. Amazing.

Battery was delivered next day. Ran the C20 (IEC 60095-1) capacity test in strict temperature controlled environment. The battery tested at 63.482Ah or 757.9Wh. This is really good for a 65Ah battery and reflects Yuasa battery quality control and the fact that the supplied battery wasn’t sitting in warehouse sulphating. In comparison my original 60Ah battery had tested only 52Ah. The battery wasn’t fully charged when it arrived. The voltage was at 12.58v, isn’t great but also not that bad as it would allow for soft sulphation but easily reversed after a few charge cycles. When charged after a full discharge to 10.5v the battery already tested at 63.9A which means after a few cycles the battery will exceed the 65Ah capacity. This is normal for lead acid batteries. My car cranked at 11.1v in comparison to the original battery when it was new and fully charged it was cranking at 10.2v which dropped to 9.8v in a couple of months in spite of having fully charged using Noco Genius charger. Lastly the battery replacement didn’t require any extra setting using OBD. It was as simple as a swap. original Mazda battery would sube costed my £247!! Which is so ridiculous in comparison to the price and quality. Overall very happy so far. Time will tell how it performs in terms of long term performance etc.

Second yuasa battery with 5 year warrenty. Battery went flat after period of non use. Would not hold charge properly after this. Bosch and Varta did recover but yuasa didn't. I didn't complain to Tayna as its written into the rules that this is not covered so cost me £80. Not Taynas fault but feel battery should be able to with stand one flat period
