I purchased this battery as it has slightly better performance ratings as the original equipment battery for my vehicle at a fraction of the price. When looking at alternatives from other manufactures, I found that the performance offered was far lower than the OEM and Yuasa offerings and the price in some cases was actually higher than what I paid. The delivery was exceptionally fast and the battery was well packaged. I would highly recommend the service provided.

This is my second purchase of the Yuasa YBX5053. Previously fitted to a 2008 MX5 after having suffered two short-lived own branded 053 batteries from a well known cycle shop. Difference in cranking is quite incredible. The MX5 1.8 engine really needs a big shove, particularly in the colder weather. This Yuasa spins it happily. I have changed my MX5 for a newer model and this is why I have purchased another replacement. I am going to be proactive and the cost with Tanya is about the same as full tank of petrol so really a no-brainer.

Ordered the battery on Sunday at 2000, arrived on Tuesday at 1515, fitted it by 1550. Had to link to another battery to swap, as I didn’t know if the code on the radio had been activated. Car now starts 1st time in cold weather instead of 2nd or 3rd attempt. If it lasts for 12 years like the original Panasonic battery, I’ll be delighted.

Battery delivered next working day. Fitted to vehicle and working correctly. Battery came with terminal adapter sleeves which provided the correct fit for my vehicle. If you think the sleeves may be missing, check that they are not stuck in the (red/black) terminal covers as mine were stuck inside them. A gentle squeeze popped them out.
