Firstly, I deliberately chose this battery despite this not being the recognized size for this model. This bike has a long history of difficult starting and there have been many suggested changes for it. My own contribution was to initially fit a Yuasa lead acid battery designed for the XV920. This increase in battery size helped a lot - as indeed did the change to Yuasa brand generally for both my bikes. However, the change to an AGM battery has been a whole step upward in reliability, longevity of life and starting power which has frankly amazed me. Excellent.

After some thought I decided to replace my existing Yuasa battery with the same type. Yuasa are regarded as about the best, and I think the one I replaced was probably 10 years old. I ordered the battery late afternoon and it arrived mid morning the next day, so I was very pleased with the service from Tayna.

Prompt delivery, a little bemused as in the packaging was a box for the acid and instructions on how to fill the battery with the acid, but there was no acid. After making contact with the suppliers I was informed that the battery was filled with the acid at the depot prior to shipping.
