I was very pleased to receive my new Yuasa YTX7L-BS MF Motorcycle Battery within 24 hours of having ordered it. It arrived well packaged and I was surprised to find that the electrolyte had already been added as the previous time i had to do this job myself. The bike is now starting more reliably and hence I have renewed confidence in it.

Checked with Suzuki dealers: Yuasa are the original equipment manufacturer batteries that are fitted to Suzuki motorcycles. Searched on the internet and Tanya were the cheapest for this particular type of battery. Battery arrived quickly including note that, due to security regulations, acid electrolyte has to be injected before battery is posted. There is no problems with leaks because the acid forms into what looks like a white paste on the cell plates in the battery. Battery did not need a pre-charge since it was reading over 12 VDC and the 100 cold cranking amps that it delivers was easily enough to turn over the engine for the two minutes that the bike needed to start after being laid up for a few months. Hopefully I will get at least 2 years out of this what appears to be a good quality battery. Tip: Don't forget to disconnect your battery and give it a trickle charge before you lay up your motorcycle. You will get more service life out of the battery that way. I didn't do that with the last (other brand) battery. Doh!
