Back to the original spec battery for my Kawasaki ZX6-R after years with a Varley Red Top racing battery (good but no longer holding charge, and doesn't fit perfectly in the battery box). Decided to stick with a lead acid battery as I already have a trickle charger/maintainer for lead acid batteries. While the newer lithium ion batteries are lighter, they need a specialist charger and don't behave like a traditional battery, eg for a bike you need to turn the headlight on first to 'prime' the battery or you can blow fuses, hugely reduce battery life etc. Hassle that outweighs the weight saving. Yuasa YTX-9BS recently fitted performs faultlessly, and Tayna were cheapest and delivered promptly.
