I bought this to maintain the battery on my Mercedes 3 litre diesel whilst it's not being used for prolonged periods. It seems to be doing its job which is all I can ask for. It's 5 year warranty is also peace of mind.

This is the second MXS 7.0 I have bought, and the third CTEK. I did considerable research before buying this time, as both the others have recently been unreliable, in that they have sometimes failed to work, and even decided my last Tayna suppled brand new battery was unrechargeable., even though it was clearly fully charged and showing full voltage. I could not find any product which appeared to be better ( I need to recharge and keep maintained several 100 Amp hour batteries including a caravan leisure battery) and so with some reluctance I have bought another CTEK MXS 7. Only time will tell how well this one lasts. It is expensive, and I am hoping for better long term service. I still have my old fashioned basic battery charger I bought over 40 years ago which still works perfectly. Apart from that Tayna, whom I have used for many years, provided their usual exemplary service.

There may be cheaper alternatives, but in my experience CTEK chargers are always the best bet... For example the starter battery in my 14 year-old Merc SL 350 is still in perfect condition due to always being on 'conditioning charge' when not in use, via the MXS 7.0... no sulphation problems and the car starts first time, every time. A truly excellent product, and great service, as ever, from Tayna.
