This the second CTEK MXS 5.0 that I have bought to maintain the batteries on two infrequently used old cars. The original has been in use for a number of years and provided such good service that I decided to buy this second one rather than switching from one vehicle to he other at intervals. I don't know how they rate compared with other models/makes but for me they represent good value for money and do precisely what I want of them. Tanya's delivery service was exceptional - item received within 24 hours of placing my order.

I have a 2005 Jaguar battery that seemed to be getting a bit tired, since I've used this charger instead of my much cheaper one it seems to have perked up.

Very happy with this purchase, which works as expected with the exception that it gets very hot prior to reaching the trickle charge stage. It has a 5yr warranty and will be returned if the temp appears to affect performance or safety.
