This charger is excellent. It covers every type of lead acid, AGM, and Gel battery over a wide range of capacities. It even has a setting for Odyssey batteries which need a higher charging voltage to give the best charge status. There is also a recondition setting for deeply discharged batteries. There are other CTEK chargers lower down their range but I think the MXS 5.0 model gives a really comprehensive use specification - it will be on hand for a big diesel car battery as well as a small capacity motorcycle battery. It comes with pig tails to attach to the battery directly and also crocodile clips. I have used this charger without issue over a long time - this is an additional purchase so that I can set a couple of motorcycles to charge weekly over the winter on a timer. I don't think this charger is good for lithium batteries so take care here - but CTEK do offer a different model to charge lithium batteries. Very pleased to recommend.
