excellent value, previously I'd fitted official agm battery which lasted 11 months, so far I'm pleased with this one, having had this battery recommended by someone who works on D3's/RRS day in day out.

It arrived very quickly and the price was very good. It needed a charge for a few hours to get up to full. I will be able to comment on it's longevity only after years of use. The battery it replaced lasted 10 years in my motorhome so it has a hard act to follow. A 4 year guarantee is a good omen. It will get a trickle charge from a solar cell all summer and from a mains hookup all winter.

Bought this without any idea how to safely replace my dying original 7 year old battery. If you have a Disco 3, do some research! Removed the negative first and then the positive pulling the leads and vent pipe clear. Suggest using some steps for height to aid lifting in and out - these are heavy! Before fitting new battery, I read that shorting the HT leads for 5-10mins does a hard reset on the system which solved a few problems for me including radio not working. Then make sure you only unplug the forward facing transit vent plug leaving the rear in position. Refit the clamp. Reconnect the vent pipe. Reconnect the positive and then the negative. Job done. I charged the battery before installing and the difference was immediately obvious when I turned the key. Tanya's service was first class although I did find the cautions etc all a bit daunting. Too soon to say how good the battery is but it seems to be a bargain and so far no issues.
