An identical replacement for the original in the 2015 Touareg, which lasted 5.5 years from new. It would probably have done more but for the lockdown, resulting in the limited use of the car, compounded by the recent very cold weather. The new battery arrived very quickly, but seemed to be down on power on arrival, though it started the car, so it was put on the charge with the CTEK charger I treated myself to at the same time. However after a good 18 hours the battery still showed 10.3V static and I phoned Tayna, who immediately advised me to return the battery for exchange. I then thought to check the reading with another, newer multimeter, which showed a healthy 12.5V static and 13.6 with the engine running. The old multimeter is faulty! The battery is in perfect health and Tayna reacted to the apparent problem in an exemplary fashion. Luckily I didn't waste their time and money returning it. I have bought several batteries (car and motorcycle) from them and they are brilliant - very keen pricing, rapid delivery and always happy to help with advice.

Varta make good batteries, but Tayna need to test what they send out to make sure. I tested seconds after delivery and it should have been 950cca but it only came to 828CCA and 12.49 volts. So I put my CTEK MXS 10 on it to recharge and retest but 6and3/4 to 7 hours later got a green light, but it still only tested 841cca. The second one tested at 937cca and is what I expect from Varta. Tayna have the best packaging and they have a good partner with DHL to provide next day delivery.
