This product...price... and the service was excellent...so far I have used this charger to charge up 4 Lucas 7AH batteries which were all destined for recycling...a standard HALFORDS charger HAD NOT charged these batteries in a way that let them hold thier charge but the CTEK MSX 5.0...HAS through its microprossor system given REAL rejuvenation to all 4 Lucas batteries and has in effect now paid for itself...also may I add the price from Tayna Batteries was far the lowest I could find...thanks...Brian.

After research (plus telephone call to Tanya) decided this was worth the extra cost Have since learnt that I can charge (and maintain) battery on Mercedes, where battery is under rear seat, via the jump start point under the bonnet. There is a you tube video where this proceedure is shown on BMW

This charger took my new but accidently deeply discharged AGM car battery and brought it back to life (about 36 hours in all). Two other chargers had implied the battery was dead with an internal short, but it now holds charge well and has been operating perfectly normally for 3 weeks. As it can also be used to top up charge in the car without disconnecting the battery (but don't use the 'Recondition' feature that way), it gets full marks from me.

Excellent product, easy to use and configure. Just scroll through the options to set up for car or bike battery, whether you want to recondition your battery and the type, e.g. AGM or lead acid. The plug in flying leads make sage connection a breeze too!
