Specifications not as described to me by Tayna on the telephone. Quoted as 7kg but actually weighed about 5.5kg. I am aware that a lot of batteries are produced with an exaggerated nominal capacity as manufacturers try to save on raw materials, but that as a general rule those with higher actual capacity tend to be heavier. I ordered this one based on the quoted weight, the alternative being a 6.9kg battery with the same nominal capacity from another manufacturer available for a few pounds less from another retailer. As the battery did not match up to its spec, I returned it unused for a refund. (Tayna declined my alternative suggestion of a proportionate discount.) Hopefully the postage costs wasted by Tayna will encourage them to ensure that they quote accurate specifications in future.

i normally buy most things mid range and expect to get average. what a surprise not only was the battery 20% cheaper it has a greater output that the higher price one that almost bought. The delivery ,tracking and communication were all faultless. Suggestions give them a try ,my future battery business not worth much but will be from taynabatteries.

This battery appears to be a genuine Lucas item (no offence but it's difficult to tell these days!) as it took a full charge of 14.3 volts and after several hours at rest maintains 13.1 volts. Only time will tell of course but it seems to me that this battery performs better than the original, even when it was new. It was bought to replace a faulty unit in my booster/power pack which I keep "in case" to start a 2.8 diesel, should the occasion arise! It's an automatic so this is an essential tool as autos can't be bump-started. It also keeps my tyres up to pressure and powers the electric pump used for inflating my Zodiac inflatable boat. This new battery has taken all of this in its stride. All in all then, an excellent product at a great price.
