Battery was as described and very promptly delivered. This battery has been installed on a 1980 BMW R100S, though I would think that it would fit any of the /6 or /7 range. The outside dimensions are marginally smaller than the original VARTA fitment particulary taking account of the ridge on the VARTA, between the main body and the top casing making this battery much easier to install. Increased CCA does seem to have made a difference to the cold cranking speed, or perhaps it is just the new battery effect. GEL filling must also be viewed as an advantage over liquid acid.
