Inverters allow you to power your mains powered 240V products from a 12V battery. They do this by increasing the voltage from the battery from 12V to 240V. Pure and Modified Sine Wave inverters produce an AC supply from a DC supply giving you a reliable power source for your electronic devices and appliances. Modified inverters are a more affordable option and are not suited for some applications. A pure inverter is required for fridges/freezers, high voltage cordless tool chargers, variable speed motors, garage door openers, electric shavers and fluorescent tubes (with ballasts).
