I own prewar American Studebakers. One with 6 cylinders and another with 8. I find these Optima batteries are the only ones which can provide enough charge so that by the time the fuel reaches the carburettor, there is still enough charge to allow a spark and start the engine. Now all I need are ones that are still 6 volts but with 6 cells (2 parallel rows of 3) made to look like a traditional hard rubber battery. Then I would think Optima would corner the market.

An exellent battery especially if the car is not being used for weeks at a time .No more worries about a flat battery if it doesnt start first time in the cold.The old Rubber case battery i was using only lasted 18months so despite the extra cost its saving me money all round.Good delivery and well packaged from Tayna .Recommended.

Good service from Tayna and well packed. The Optima Battery is extremely good and well recommended especially for Classic Cars. You will not use any other battery after experiencing an Optima!

I was on to my third traditional style battery before I came across Optima. My car has been transformed. Turnover on starting is quicker and the battery doesn't drain down when the car isn't being used. It may look a bit out of place in an old car but that's a small price to pay for such an increase in reliability. Well recommended.
