The batterie was a direct replacement for the original bmw unit fitted to my 2012 stop/start mini cooper SD . I will say one thing though it appears bmw use both varta and exide in the same models , so check first . The service by Tayna can only be described as stunning ! they were the best price by far and the delivery was unreal , i placed my order pm and i got a knock on the door at 8.30am the next morning . True five star service in my book and less than half the price of bmw .

Very good battery, the stop/start on my Alfa Romeo Giulietta never worked, but I put this battery on my car and it now works on every journey. Also Tayna were selling it cheaper than other dealers.

I struggled for a bit making sure the E39 would fit - Tayna's own guide indicates a smaller battery (width and height) would be more appropriate - and eventually removed the old battery to measure! The E39 is exactly the same dimensions and specification as the original Mini battery previously fitted, which was also a Varta AGM so just re-badged with the BMW/Mini part number. Much talk in Mini forums of needing the battery charge software to be reset, but immediately after fitting stop/start function works again.

This battery was fitted as an antidote to charge holding problems on my 30 year old car due to after market ancillaries being fitted, there is nothing wrong with the charging system. The car was also parked up for long periods. My problems appear to have vanished but time will tell.
