Really pleased with my purchase, the Yuasa battery has replaced a LION battery that was on my Focus 2008 and that was hitting 6+ years, and a few failed starts and figured I would get it changed before the winter arrived. Overall, super happy, great price, great battery, great service and my car starts every time again.

This is an excellent battery and it was available at a very good price from Tayna, so i went for it. I would buy it again without hesitation. Yuasa is a top brand and this is a top specification version with higher capacity than the original for my car. I tested it with my Konnwei KW600 battery tester and it checked out as good, unlike the battery I purchased from ebay, which was sent back. I realise that battery conductance testers are not totally accurate due to the variety of different constructions and designs used by battery manufacturers, but they do provide an reasonable estimate of battery health. The Yuasa website explains this better than I can. The cheap unknown brand battery I purchased from eBay failed when tested, as did 2 old batteries I had lying around, so I sent the eBay battery back for refund. This Yuasa battery passed. The Yuasa was about 50% more expensive even with the amazing price on Tayna, but it was definitely worth it for piece of mind. The battery also seems to be better construction quality and finish and feels like a quality product and it has recharge dates on it and Yuasa provide guidance and storage procedures to sellers on how their batteries are stored and maintained by retailers while waiting to be sold. They also specify that batteries older than 24 months are not to be sold to customers. All this gives me confidence in buying Yuasa and I suspect my next battery will also be a Yuasa battery provided I can find one at a reasonable price. Yes, price matters as we all like a bargain and Tayna had this Yuasa at the best price on the internet, so I jumped on it. I don't think I will buy a cheap eBay battery again as you don't know what you are getting and it might be a dud. Cranking the engine over is not the sign of a healthy battery as there could be capacity loss which will mean that your battery can drain much faster than you expect leaving you with insufficient charge left to crank the engine. This is what happened to me and is why I am replacing my six year old (still working) battery with this new one. If you do a lot of mostly short trips and you have an old battery, then you are at risk of your car being unable to start and this is the number one cause of breakdowns. Winter in particular will reduce the ability of a battery to supply enough power, so if you have an old battery then maybe consider having it checked.

Arrived next day, well packaged. Make sure you do open the box outside or in a well ventilated area. Clear instructions on how to remove the stoppers. Fitted it in no problems. Make sure you apply grease or vaseline to the terminals to stop corrosion. Car starts great now.
