Fitted straight on, the lady who discussed the right model was spot on with her advice, as on the Hayter/Murray ride on mower the battery is held in with a sprung clip. Came tidy, well packaged and ready to use, even the red safety breather plugs were removed (although the sticker had been left on which confused me a little)
