Purchased this from Tayna in July 2020 to replace the factory installed VW OE EFB, as always, fitted it and carried out adaptation and coding with VCDS on my 2019 Golf R which has been owned from new and that had covered less than 4000 miles at the time. Unfortunately by early 2023, it would start to lose charge fairly quickly, sometimes within a few days, after a while, I decided to try the Exide EK700, and in April 2023 purchased one from my 'go to' supplier for this sort of thing, Tayna. The Exide EK700 was, as always, adapted and coded to the car by me using VCDS. To date, that battery is currently performing flawlessly in the car, not once having had episodes of randomly discharging.. (No faults present at any time during both batteries installation and no change in usage, cars still not used daily, having covered under 9000 miles to date). I noticed that the Varta E39 was being superceded by the A7 not too long ago, which is the 'current' designation for the Silver Dynamic 096 AGM offering from them. I am a lifelong Varta fan, having insisted on their installation for many, many years, I have historically chosen nothing else, never, so this experience shocked me to be honest.. They have always previously been incredible and I've witnessed them lasting 13+ years (075 Silver Dynamic) in my 2009 Fiesta Zetec S. However, I'm very impressed by Exide now too. They seem to be doing good things as a company. I will definitely be trying Varta's latest offerings when they become available and will always love the company. Tayna was great as always. Lifelong customer.

I asked for advice on which batteries to buy for my motorhome engine battery, the battery is not listed under the registration so I spoke to one of the representatives. When the battery turned up it was a gel battery and I called again saying it was replacing a special sealed liquid battery and can they confirm it is okay to use. I was told yes and I asked if they could just put that in writing to cover myself as the batteries are expensive. I was told an email would be sent, I have never received it and I have even checked spam so a little disappointed. The service is always good but I can honestly say I was disappointed after being told they would follow up with an email
