In under a year battery condition under 50%. Customer support just kept asking me to put it on charge, despite voltage still being low after a 12 hour charge. Warranty is worthless and support team not helpful.

After having battery diagnosis, the results showed the battery failed within warranty, after sending the Bosch report to tayna, they accepted that the battery was under warranty+++

Purchased the EK700 in April 2023 and installed it shortly after in my '19 Golf R, I registered and coded it with my VCDS (as always) and can report that as of July 2025 it has performed flawlessly, the car has covered just under 9000 miles by me from new (not used daily) and has been through the OE battery and a Varta E39 AGM (Purchased from Tayna in July 2020). I can see that the EK720 is the latest iteration of this specification from Exide with a slightly higher capacity of 72Ah compared to the 70Ah capacity of the EK700. I'm a massive Varta fan and have used nothing else for years but I'm going to say that I would purchase the Exide EK720 in a heartbeat the next time I need an 096 AGM. Great service from Tayna as always.
