Tanya were the cheapest on this product and delivery is pretty quick. Problem is that the battery is v specific- size wise. I believe ppl use them in caterhams and I too have a “production kit car” with a very specific tray /clamp size so not many options. So why 3 stars. Having had the battery on constant intelligent charge (CTEK) after just over 2 years its goosed. Warranty is 2 years. Don’t know if I’m more disappointed with the battery or the charger ( it’s the type they use in garages and states it can just about resurrect a body !) No doubt be having to get another in 2 years!!

Battery arrived promptly, but had leaked slightly. A simple like for like swap, so no fitting problems once the leaked acid had been washed off.

Hi, nothing at all wrong with the battery when dispatched however despite the very clear indications on the packaging the Carrier had not observed the express requirement that the package had to remain upright had failed to do so with the result that electrolyte had leaked necessitating washing the battery down with soda bicarbonate followed by having the battery topped-up by my local garage. The garage, as to be reasonably expected didn't have electrolyte available so had to use distilled/water which was not the ideal solution. Nevertheless the battery following a top -up charge using my CTEC automatic charger seems to be doing its job. Please note that the Caterham Owners Club blog site reports this situation is all too common a problem with batteries arriving from your Company entirely due to the Carrier employed to deliver them. Trust this feedback is helpful.

Banner battery is excellent for the car as long as you look after it. i.e. make sure it’s topped up and keep on an optimale or similar. This is 4th batter in 22 years so over 7 years per battery. Always good service from Tanya. Speedy delivery and fully charged ready to go on. ?

Sadly I’m now having to buy the second replacement battery for my caterham, third if you include the one on the car when I bought it in 4 years of ownership. They last only 2 years or the length of the warranty. Okay the car doesn’t get used daily but is always on a high end battery conditioner in a warm dry garage and although it says it’s healthy on the charger it can’t turn the 1.8 engine over when asked. I hoped it would see me through this. summer but once again its useless and was already letting me down the end of ast summer. I wouldn’t ideally buy anther Banner honestly but it fits my battery tray, perhaps it’s time to bite the bullet and go Lithium.
