Great piece of kit, well made and compact. This is the second one I have bought to keep another classic with a conditioned battery. Tayna offer good value and very speedy delivery.

Very happy with this purchase, which works as expected with the exception that it gets very hot prior to reaching the trickle charge stage. It has a 5yr warranty and will be returned if the temp appears to affect performance or safety.

Arrived on time ok, have only used it twice since received - works ok. I would have liked to have known that you also sold the small "comfort Contact" connecting cable with Charge condition lights, before I purchased & paid for the Charger, as I wanted 2 additional ones to fit to my two other vehicles to enable me to plug into them easily and see what their battery voltage was at a glance. It wasn't until I searched on-line & bought 2 genuine ones elsewhere that I found you had them on your website - pity.

All marketing product claims were completely validated in practice. Used the charger on one SORN'd vehicle which hasn't been run for 15 months and brought the battery charge right up to fully operational. Also used it on our other car where it hasn't been run > 12 miles pw over same period. Low battery warning intermittently showing. Again, CTEK fully charged the battery. Time taken to charge was in line with guidance - approx 10 - 14 hrs for full charge. Extremely easy to use. Overall, very happy with results and the CTEK product. R Kemp

Works well, easy to understand and use even for me. Only had it a few weeks but used it on a couple of batteries and let me know, (eventually after trying to revive it), that one of them was beyond rescuing but got the other one up and running.

Its early days to review what is a tool for a job. My motorcycle battery is about 3 years old and has been charged sporadically with an old charger and "revived" with this one. Tested a week later it had done its job and the battery was still fully charged. I did the same with the battery off a Micra and although the charger indicated a full battery after the refreshing cycle, a day later it was back down to 50%. The battery was previously not holding its charge so the result was not unexpected as it had been losing its charge regularly for a few months, The charger is a delight to use,simple and effective so far and, in my 55 years of motoring, better than anything Ive previously owned.

The MXS-5 is a quality charger/conditioner coming with both crocodile clips & M6 plug in Fly lead options. This charger has a 7 step process being good for low current batteries (motorcycle) car batteries both standard & AGM. It not only monitors & manages your battery but also has a recovery program for depleted/sulphated batteries. I bought my unit to leave permanently connected to my motorhome vehicle battery which is equipped with stop/start which can be an issue when using a standard charger. Not only is the MXS-5 safe to use it also has built in reverse charge protection further to this it also has ‘no spark’ connection & reverse connection protection. Buying it from Tanya Batteries ensured not only that I bought it at the best price, I received a UK version with the correct 3 pin plug fitted. So I highly recommend the CTEK MXS 5 but also Tanya Batteries for a great price & speedy delivery.
