These are a direct replacement for MX5 panasonic gel battery and easy fit - BUT I never find they last very long and I need to replace often - which is expensive. Could be a fault with the electrics in my car I suppose or fact that I SORN the car over the winter months (with battery charged and disconnected). Gave up in the end and bought a large lead acid which was cheaper and more powerful - did have a make up a new fixing bracket.

This battery was an exact replacement for a previous WestCo battery, fitted to a 1990 Mazda Eunos MX-5 Mk 1. The previous battery had lasted for nearly 6 years. The battery was easy to order online and arrived on time via courier. I was notified every step of the way, from ordering, to despatch and to the courier being en route. I had other electrical work to be done on the car, so I had a local garage fit the battery. They said it was an exact fit, no problem. I have now had the battery on the car for about a month with no problems to date. Let's hope that this battery also lasts about 6 years. I was most impressed with Tanya Batteries and will certainly consider using them again.

A direct replacement for the original battery in 1997 Mk1 MX-5 1.8. Only time will tell if the extra cost of an AGM battery was worth it, but I have high hopes & expectations. Delivery and packaging was excellent.
